Fighting the Impulse to Run
If you get nervous on dates then it might be understandable if you have the impulse to run out of there at the first sign of sweaty palms. You should try to fight this initial impulse and try to make it through the date. If you continue to run out, you are severely limiting yourself to the opportunities that are available through dating.
This would be a matter of trying to overcome your fear of a social situation like dating. The only way to make it through is to keep telling yourself that you are fine and then try to make it through the date. Even if you are nervous, you can try to hold a conversation. A good conversation might take your mind off of everything that is making you so nervous about the date.
Ask yourself what it is that makes you so nervous. Is it talking to your date or do you feel like they are judging you? Regardless of the issues, it is your sole responsibility to try to get it under control. Running away half way through dinner is not the ideal plan and you should really try to avoid it at all costs.
If you end up being too nervous, then simply tell your date what is going on. They may be very understanding and might even be having the same thoughts and feelings. If that is the case, then both of you can run out together and find something more entertaining to do together.
